Alicia Keys‘ new song “We Gotta Pray” strikes a chord with the recent verdict in the Eric Garner case and the ongoing unrest in Ferguson.

The song is set to a video on her YouTube page showing images of people praying, while words like “humanity,” “strong” and “we are hopeful” pop up.

Meanwhile, images from Ferguson are shown alongside people holding signs that read, “Black lives matter #mikebrown” and “Ferguson with love from Palestine.”

“We gotta pray, pray for the world tonight,” Keys sings at the track’s start. “Fire in the air, what the hell going on/ Sirens everywhere singing that street song/ Violence everywhere barely holding on/ What the hell going on/ Do you know who you are/ Do you know who we are?”
